What is DTF printing?
Direct to Film (DTF) printing is a process where your design is printed onto a special transfer film before being heat pressed onto a garment. It produces vibrant colours, excellent detail and long-lasting results on a wide variety of fabrics.
What fabrics can DTF transfers be applied to?
Our premium DTF transfers work on:
- Cotton
- Polyester
- Polycotton
- Tri-blends
- Nylon (test recommended)
- Canvas bags
- Hoodies
- Sweatshirts
- Workwear
- Sportswear
Do I need a heat press?
Yes. For the best results we recommend using a quality heat press. Household irons do not provide consistent temperature or pressure and are not suitable for applying DTF transfers.
What temperature should I press my transfers?
We recommend:
- 157°C for cotton and polycotton
- 130°C for polyester and synthetic fabrics
Press for 10–15 seconds using medium to firm pressure.
Are your transfers hot peel or cold peel?
All of our premium DTF transfers are hot peel. Simply peel the carrier immediately after pressing in one smooth motion.
How durable are your DTF transfers?
When applied correctly, our transfers are designed to withstand 60+ washes while maintaining excellent colour vibrancy and flexibility without cracking or peeling.
What file types do you accept?
We recommend:
- PNG (transparent background)
- AI
- EPS
- PSD (flattened where possible)
Artwork should be supplied at 300 DPI for the best print quality.
Should my artwork have a background?
No. Please upload artwork with a transparent background unless you intentionally want a background printed.
Can you check my artwork before printing?
We carry out a basic check to ensure your file is printable. However, it remains your responsibility to ensure your artwork is correctly sized, high resolution and free from spelling or design errors.
What resolution should my artwork be?
For the highest quality prints, we recommend artwork at 300 DPI at the final print size.
Can you print photographs?
Yes. Our premium DTF printing process produces excellent photographic quality with smooth gradients and vibrant colours.
Can I order just one gang sheet?
Absolutely. There is no minimum order quantity, whether you need a single gang sheet or large-volume production.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes. Automatic discounts are applied on larger orders, making our service ideal for clothing brands, print shops and trade customers.
How quickly will my order be dispatched?
We aim to dispatch qualifying orders the same working day when placed before our daily cut-off time. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for the latest dispatch information.
Can I reorder previous artwork?
Yes. If you've ordered with us before, simply upload the same artwork again or contact us with your previous order number if you need assistance.
Can I wash garments immediately after pressing?
For the best results, we recommend waiting 24 hours before the first wash.
How should garments be washed?
To maximise durability:
- Wash inside out.
- Wash at up to 40°C (or follow the garment manufacturer's care instructions).
- Do not bleach.
- Tumble dry on a low setting if suitable for the garment.
- Do not iron directly onto the transfer.
What if there's a problem with my order?
If your order arrives damaged, defective or has been incorrectly produced, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photographs. We'll investigate promptly and, where the issue is our responsibility, provide a replacement or refund.
